Certified Self Storage Manager
The Certified Self Storage Manager Program is designed to prepare all new Property Managers and Relief Managers to become more knowledgeable in the self storage industry. The Certified Self Storage Manager course has been developed by experts as a learning tool for entry level Property Managers.
Each certificate is earned by attending and completing a typical 15 session program via online university or in person learning. After obtaining their certificate each Manager must also agree to uphold the Industry Code of Ethics as it applies to the facility manager’s role and use those codes to harness success.
This certification prepares them for general concerns they may encounter and teaches them to look at things from a financial/brokerage/accounting point of view. Once the certification has been completed, an understanding of the most important aspects of the job will be clear.
This certification is renewed every 2 years to stay current.
