Moove In Self Storage was proud to participate in the Penn Township Community Day hosted by Pleasant View Retirement Community this past Saturday, May 3rd in Manheim, PA. We have partnered with Pleasant View Retirement Community in the past and jumped at the chance to join them for this great event.
We set up our table in the vendor tent and our property manager in Manheim, Rachel Bechard, represented Moove In Self Storage throughout the day’s events. Festivities began at 9am with a 5K race to get things started, for which we had plenty of water bottles ready for the runners as they finished their run. Nothing like a race in the morning to get you “mooving” for the day’s events!
We had a wonderful time coloring with the kids in our cow mascot coloring contest. There were so many amazing and creative entries that it was hard to choose which boy and girl would be our winners!
For her authenticity and skill, we chose Alisha (age 10) for our girl’s winner. She did such a great job on her cow with the blue background!
For our boy’s winner, we chose a candidate with a terrific sense of imagination! Preston (age 10, pictured with Rosie the cow) created a cow he named “Melman Goldneck”. Great job, Preston!
Both of our winners received a goodie bag full of candy and treats! Great job to everyone who entered and congratulations to our winners! You can check out the gallery below to view all the entries from some very talented kids.
The community day spanned across the town square and into the side streets of Pleasant View. We even had a visit from the Kreiders’ Cow, Rosie! (I wonder if she’s related to our cow?) The weather was just fantastic throughout the day which made for a great turnout. There were lots of local vendors and volunteers working together to make this a great day and a fun-filled event for the Manheim community. The event boasted many carnival games, face painting, a dunk tank, entertainers like a reptile guy, music, the North Museum exhibit, miniature pony petting zoo, a bounce house for the kids and so much more with activities wrapping up at 2pm. We truly enjoyed attending the Penn Township Community Day and plan to attend again next year.
